Oasi La Rizza: A Place of Nature, Culture, and Tradition

The natural management, the development of visitor routes, and the dissemination and naturalistic education are overseen by the Municipality of Bentivoglio. The Area of Ecological Rebalancing (A.R.E.) complex of the former Bentivoglio Rice Field—known as Oasi La Rizza—is a place offering widespread hospitality for discovering flora and fauna, as well as local traditions, seasonal cuisine, culture, history, art, and the beauty of our territory.


The complex stands out by providing simple accommodation tailored to the needs of hikers, students, researchers, workers, and anyone seeking simplicity, tranquillity, and privacy. Being a protected environment, visitors to the Oasi can enjoy free parking and access routes suitable for walking, cycling, or horseback riding.

Cultura e Tradizione

La gestione naturalistica, la strutturazione dei percorsi visita, la divulgazione e la didattica naturalistica è in capo al Comune di Bentivoglio. Il complesso dell’Area di Riequilibrio Ecologico (A.R.E.) dell’Ex Risaia di Bentivoglio - denominata Oasi La Rizza - è un luogo che offre un’accoglienza diffusa alla scoperta della flora e della fauna, ma anche delle tradizioni, della cucina locale e stagionale, della cultura e della storia, dell'arte e della bellezza del nostro territorio.


Il complesso si caratterizza e si differenzia nell’offerta di una ricettività semplice in linea con esigenze di escursionisti, studenti, ricercatori e lavoratori e di chiunque ricerchi la semplicità, la tranquillità, la riservatezza. Trattandosi di un ambiente protetto, chi giunga all’Oasi può usufruire di un parcheggio gratuito e accedere a itinerari da percorrere a piedi, in bicicletta o a cavallo.

Activities and Initiatives for All

We organise activities open to everyone, initiatives dedicated to exploring naturalistic themes and observing wildlife, as well as outdoor activities focused on well-being.


All children can enjoy themselves in the green spaces with "old-fashioned games," celebrate birthdays, or share moments of gathering, such as during school trips or summer camps. Being a protected environment, visitors can access trails suitable for walking, cycling, or horseback riding.
